Tottenham Hotspur are the only team in the Premier League yet to make a new signing this summer.
Pochettino started the summer suggesting he was calm over transfer, but has recently admitted that he wants four new players.
And Thompson feels that the Tottenham boss’s apparent change of opinion is cause for concern.

“I’m surprised Spurs haven’t signed anybody and that concerning thing is that it’s gone from Mauricio Pochettino saying he doesn’t need anybody to saying he needs four or five,” he said.
All does not appear to be well at Tottenham, following Danny Rose’s comments to The Sun.
Rose has suggested that he is underpaid by Spurs, who have a strict wage structure in place.
The comments come at a terrible time for Tottenham, with their season due to start in a matter of days.
Whether Rose’s Spurs teammates will be distracted by the media furore remains to be seen, but it is hardly ideal for Pochettino’s preparations for the new campaign.
Tottenham begin their season with a match against newly promoted Newcastle United at St. James’ Park on Sunday.
