Tottenham Hotspur won in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Lamela featured for Tottenham in the Premier League game against Brighton at the Wembley Stadium in London.
The 25-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, started the game and played for 74 minutes, as Spurs won 2-0.
Liverpool legend Thompson was following the match, and he has given his verdict on Lamela’s performance for Tottenham against Brighton.

Thompson told Sky Sports when asked how Lamela performed: “Okay, okay. Obviously, Pochettino thought this was the kind of game that would be good for him.
“He kept changing positions. He has got a little bit of pace, hasn’t he, off the mark when he goes past people, moves? Just didn’t have it enough.
“I could see sometimes he was getting a little bit tetchy with a few of the Brighton defenders because he couldn’t get away from them.”

Lamela is a hugely talented player who has a lot of quality, and the Argentine’s return to full fitness and action is only going to help Spurs as the season progresses.
Tottenham’s chances of winning the Premier League title are gone, but the North London outfit can still end up in the top four and progress into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Spurs have a very good attacking unit, and Lamela’s return only enhances that.
