Amanda Staveley is expected to complete a takeover of Newcastle United.

Amanda Staveley’s PCP Capital Partners have reportedly upped their bid to £300million for the ownership of Mike Ashley’s club, as the Toon’s current owner continues to be criticised for his unwillingness to invest in the side since their promotion.
The uncertainty in the board room is affecting the players on the pitch, among other reasons, as the Toon have managed to secure just one point from a possible 27 – drawing just once in nine games.

Another loss on Saturday to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium saw Newcastle slip into the relegation zone in 18th place, with just 15 points and 16 goals in 18 games. Neville urged the club to complete a takeover before it is too late.
“Newcastle, meanwhile, are in total free-fall after taking one point from their past nine games,” Neville said.
“The prospective takeover of the club by Amanda Staveley needs to happen, because otherwise things look pretty bleak.”

The Toon are next in action against David Moyes’ West Ham United at the London Stadium, in what is a huge clash as the Hammers sit with the Magpies towards the bottom of the table – despite the east Londoners recent revival.
Benitez desperately needs three points to propel his side out of the relegation zone but with quality lacking in a number of departments, he may have to wait for a win until he can add new players to his side.
