Everton have been linked with a move for Marco Silva.
Former Everton player turned football pundit Phil Neville says that he would like to see David Unsworth given the managerial job at Goodison Park.
Everton have been heavily linked with a move for Watford manager Marco Silva, and the Toffees have even offered £10 million to secure his signature, according to the Telegraph.
Watford have no intention to part ways with their manager, and the offer has been rejected straightaway.
When Neville was asked whether Silva is the right man for the job, he says that the Portuguese is a fantastic young manager, and judging by Everton’s recent activity, it seems they are keen to secure his services.
However, the BBC pundit adds that he wants to see Unsworth given a chance, but if Everton really want Silva they should sign him now, and not make further delay.
“The big £10m Marco Silva,” said Neville on BBC Match of the Day. “It looks like that’s the one they want. I would like to see David Unsworth given a go. But if they are going to bid for Marco Silva, he’s a fantastic young manager, but they’ve got it sort it out now.
Everton are really struggling at the moment, and have managed just one win in their last 10 games in all competitions.
The Toffees are 16th in the Premier League at the moment. They drew their last game against Crystal Palace 2-2 at Selhurst Park.
