Phil Neville has stated on social networking site Twitter that Tottenham Hotspur should not be allowed to play at the Wembley Stadium in London.
Tottenham are using Wembley for their home matches this season, as construction works continues at White Hart Lane.
Former Manchester United and Everton star Neville has claimed on Twitter that Spurs should not be allowed to use Wembley.
The former England international, who could operate as a defender or as a midfielder, has claimed that the stadium should be used only for cup finals and for the England national team’s football matches.
Neville made the post on Twitter before the Premier League game between Tottenham and Chelsea on Sunday evening.
The former Valencia assistant manager, who now works as a pundit for BBC Sport, was following the match, and he criticised Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for conceding the second Chelsea goal.
That goal – from Marcos Alonso – proved to be the winner, as Antonio Conte’s side picked up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 2-1 victory.
