Pundit backs Everton to push for Diego Costa.

Phil Neville believes Diego Costa would be a big hit at Everton if the Toffees can pull off an ambitious transfer move.
Quizzed about a potential move, former Everton ace Phil Neville told SkySports’ The Debate (28/8 10pm) that he would back the transfer.

Neville said: “If they brought Costa in they can challenge for top four. They needs someone in next two days who can play as striker as I think they are short at that position.
“He’s a world class striker who can sign 20 goals if you get him happy. He’d be absolutely sensational at Goodison Park. Everton have got the money.”

Costa is currently in Brazil after being left out of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte’s plans at Chelsea.
He wants a move to Atletico Madrid but the Spanish side are serving a transfer ban meaning they cannot sign players until January.
Costa played a key role in Chelsea winning the Premier League title last season and it would be a surprise if the Blues elected to let him join another English club.
Everton are smart to try, but they should also be looking at alternatives with the transfer deadline just days away.
