Phil Neville predicts Everton to win against Stoke City in the Premier League
Former Everton defender, Phil Neville, tips his former club to beat Stoke City in the opening round of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
The former Manchester United defender has tipped Wayne Rooney to score as well. He gave his prediction on twitter.
Everton have gone through a massive rebuilding project under Ronald Koeman this summer.
The Toffees lost last season’s club top striker Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, and used the money effectively in adding top players, including Rooney.
The England striker started his senior player career with Everton before moving to Manchester United. He spent 13 successful years at United, and joined his boyhood club on a free transfer this summer.
Everton also have added players like Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez to their ranks, and are keen to add Gylfi Sigurdsson to their squad as well.
Ross Barkley and James McCarthy are both out with groin and knee injuries respectively. Interestingly, both the players are heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer.
