Everton are still searching for a new manager after sacking Ronald Koeman.

Pundit Phil Neville has told Sky Sports’ The Debate that he thinks Burnley boss Sean Dyche is the perfect manager for Everton – and Andy Townsend agreed with the ex-Toffees skipper.
Everton sacked manager Ronald Koeman last month after a torrid start to the season, but over a month on from his sacking, the Toffees remain without a permanent manager.
David Unsworth remains in caretaker charge, but Thursday’s 5-1 defeat at the hands of Atalanta means he is increasingly unlikely to secure the job on a permanent basis.

A host of managers have been linked with the post, but Sam Allardyce ruled himself out of contention earlier this month, and a pursuit of Watford’s Marco Silva has ultimately fallen short.
With Silva seemingly not available, Everton may have to consider other options, and one manager whose name has been fleetingly mentioned in connection with the job is Burnley boss Sean Dyche.
The 46-year-old has worked wonders with the Clarets since arriving in 2012, with the former Watford boss guiding the Clarets to two promotions from the Championship before achieving Premier League survival last term.
Now, Dyche has turned Burnley into a well-drilled outfit with real designs of a top half finish in the Premier League, and whilst he may not be a ‘sexy’ choice like Silva, his organisational skills could be just what Everton need.

Now, pundit Andy Townsend has told Sky Sports’ The Debate that he can’t understand why Dyche isn’t the frontrunner for the job, as he would ‘rattle a few cages’ at Goodison Park – and former Everton skipper Phil Neville believes Dyche is the perfect Everton manager if he had to pick one.
“I don’t understand why Sean Dyche hasn’t featured more in terms of the fact that the press haven’t made more of it,” said Townsend. “Sean’s done an incredible job at Burnley, Everton are a club with underperforming senior players, and they look like they need someone to rattle a few cages. Sean looks the perfect sort of guy for that, but why has that one not developed any further? I don’t understand it.”
“If I was looking at an Everton manager, and I think they have a certain type, maybe British, I think Sean Dyche fits the bill for what would be a perfect Everton manager,” added Neville.
