LIV Golf are looking to strengthen their ranks for the 2026 season, and Phil Mickelson has not wasted any time weighing in on the rumours swirling around their potential targets.

The Saudi-backed outfit are looking to inject some fresh talent into their line-up ahead of next year.

Si Woo Kim has been one name consistently thrown into the mix. While he has brushed off those links more than once, the noise has not died down.

And before Kim had a chance to respond again this weekend, Mickelson was already adding his voice to the conversation.

LIV Golf are reportedly also targeting Ben An, alongside Kim, as part of their plan to increase their Korean audience.

It is an ambitious idea, and there are reports that substantial offers have already been made.

LIV’s interest in the region isn’t surprising, given the potential market size. And both Kim and An are well-established names.

Mickelson seems to be on board, responding to a ‘Flushing It’ post about the speculation by showing his support for the potential signings.

Mickelson has always backed moves that benefit LIV Golf’s growth, so his support comes as no surprise. But whether this deal happens is still unclear, especially after Kim addressed the rumours himself.

Everyone knows how active Mickelson is on social media, often diving into conversations about golf and plenty of other topics too.

Sometimes, though, his posts come across as a bit eager, especially when anything related to LIV pops up. It is like he cannot help himself from getting involved.

LIV picking up Kim and An would be a smart move, but it is not something that shifts the balance of power in the sport or puts them ahead of the PGA Tour overnight.

Mickelson calling the move ‘awesome’ feels a bit much at this stage. Jumping in on what is still just speculation might even be his way of trying to push these rumours closer to reality.

Looking ahead, it would not be surprising if Mickelson took on an even bigger role within LIV given how vocal he continues to be in support of their cause.
