Could Sunderland and Sheffield United do battle over the Everton defender this summer?
Everton’s Phil Jagielka
Bookmakers Sky Bet are offering odds on Phil Jagielka’s next club.
The Everton defender, who is out of contract at the end of next season, could be on his way out of Goodison Park, with the Toffees eyeing new additions in his position.
And while he’s most likely to head across the Atlantic according to Sky Bet’s latest odds (6/4), an interesting battle could be shaping up between Sunderland (4/1) and Sheffield United (6/1).
Sunderland are of course managed by Jagielka’s old Everton boss David Moyes, while Sheffield United are the former England international’s first club – and one with whom he spent nine years of his life.

Despite being two divisions apart this campaign, the pair will spend the next one as Championship rivals, with Sunderland already relegated from the Premier League and United promoted as League One champions.
Jagielka, who will be 35 in August, moved to Everton a decade ago in a £5 million deal after the Blades dropped out of the top flight.
