Everton captain Phil Jagielka has told the club’s official website that Gareth Barry is the player he knows he can always rely on in the team.
Barry has been a mainstay for the Blues since joining on a free transfer three years ago.
Indeed, he has been a star performer in the last two seasons also despite the Toffees struggling under Roberto Martinez.
This season has seen him continue that fine form as he has built a strong midfield partnership alongside Idrissa Gueye.

His dependable nature is something that the Everton faithful have appreciated since his arrival and Jagielka says he is the one player he can always personally rely on.
“As captain, he is someone I can rely on all the time, especially as we are in close proximity on the pitch,” he told the club’s official website.
“Gareth is cool, calm and collected. He doesn’t speak too much but, when he does, people listen. He is so professional and if you watch him play he is definitely a great role model.”

Barry will now be keen to maintain his form for the rest of the season’s, with this year looking like it could be a big one under Ronald Koeman.
The Blues are currently third in the table with ten points from their first four games, just two points behind leaders Manchester City.
They were in impressive form in their last game as they beat Sunderland 3-0 at the Stadium of Light, and will be looking for a repeat performance when they take on Middlesbrough on Saturday.
