Everton returned to winning ways in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, as they got the better of Leicester City 4-2 at home.

The Toffees headed into the match against Leicester at Goodison Park on the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the league.

Ronald Koeman’s side took the lead against the Foxes as early as the first minute when Tom Davies scored, but Islam Slimani equalised just three minutes later.

Marc Albrighton made it 2-1 to the visiting team soon after, only for Romelu Lukaku to put Everton on level terms midway through the first half.

Phil Jagielka put the home side back in front in the 41st minute, and Lukaku made it 4-2 to the Toffees on 57 minutes.

Everton duo Davies and Jagielka have taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in the win and have thanked the fans for their support to the team.
