Manchester City moved just two points off top spot in the Premier League by smashing Crystal Palace 4-0 on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola’s side saw Liverpool draw 0-0 with Manchester United earlier on Sunday, and City took full advantage.
John Stones headed City in front from a stunning Kevin De Bruyne cross, before Ilkay Gundogan arrowed a strike into the top corner of the net.
Stones added a second to make it 3-0, and Raheem Sterling rounded off the scoring with a fine free kick, sealing a comfortable win.
Sure, a number of players were in fine form for a rampant City side, but the main story is that Stones managed to find the net twice.
Stones has been in superb form late, forming a superb partnership with Ruben Dias in the heart of the City defence.

Impressing defensively is one thing, but who could have seen him scoring twice? The 26-year-old had never even scored a Premier League goal for City before last night, never mind two!
After the final whistle, teammate Phil Foden took to Twitter to praise Stones, tweeting just four words about him: ‘the man can’t stop’, as Stones’ season simply goes from strength to strength.
