Speaking on the official England Podcast, Phil Foden has shared what he was saying to Jack Grealish after England beat Denmark at Euro 2020.
The attacking midfielder was spotted chatting to the Aston Villa man after the end of extra-time, and now he’s shared what he was saying to Grealish.
What’s been said?
Foden shared the details of his chat with Grealish.
“At the end of the game, you looked quite emotional and you were chatting to Jack Grealish, I just wonder what was being said there,” The podcast’s host asked.
“I just said to him ‘man I can’t believe we’ve made it to the final’, it was really nice to share that moment with him. He’s such a special player and it just shows the togetherness the group has,” Foden replied.

Togetherness
How good is this to hear?
Foden and Grealish are club rivals and after Grealish was subbed in extra-time, he’d have every reason to feel a bit miffed at full-time.
However, the pair embraced, celebrating there and their team’s achievement, and it’s so refreshing to hear this.
We’ve heard so often about the fact that club rivalries were such an issue in the mid-2000s, but it sounds as though those days are long gone.
