
Some Tottenham fans on social media are feeling very relieved after Alasdair Gold said that there’s no chance of Ryan Mason becoming their next manager.
There had been reports that Mason was in the running for the permanent role at Spurs, but it seems as though his chance has been and gone.
Tottenham fans weren’t criticising Mason. In fact, a number of fans were full of praise for him, with one even claiming that he hopes he stays on as a coach, but the overwhelming feeling was that Spurs need someone with more experience.
To be fair, we can understand this sentiment, as tactically knowledgeable as Mason seems, he’s only 29 years old and he’s never had a full-time job in management before, so it’s hard to say that he’s deserving of a job as high-profile as the Spurs role.
Who Tottenham end up appointing remains to be seen, but it seems as though fans are quite happy to hear that Mason is seemingly out of the running.
