Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked by Tottenham, just ten games into the Premier League season.
What’s the story?
Firstly, you may be wondering why this big news from Tottenham concerns Crystal Palace.
Well, before hiring Patrick Vieira, Steve Parish was close to appointing Nuno as a replacement for Roy Hodgson.
However, the deal collapsed after Nuno made a series of ‘unanticipated’ demands, and also had one eye on the vacancy at Everton (The Athletic).
Now, the Crystal Palace fans have been breathing a sigh of relief, after Nuno was sacked just days after Vieira oversaw a 2-0 win at Manchester City.
Things certainly worked out for the south Londoners, to say the least.
It was Crystal Palace who started Nuno’s downfall in N17 as well, thumping his Spurs side 3-0 to kick off the run which saw him handed his P45.
Crystal Palace and Tottenham both win

Yes, Tottenham made a mistake, one which Daniel Levy clearly realised by sacking Nuno so early into the season.
However, both London sides are now winners, after Spurs hired Antonio Conte to replace the Portuguese coach.
The Italian is a serial winner, and has lifted the Premier League and Serie A titles in his last two jobs at Chelsea and Inter Milan respectively.

Conte is truly a no-nonsense coach, and will give Tottenham the rocket they so desperately need.
In our view, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Spurs end the season with a trophy now the 52-year-old has arrived.
For now, let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about Tottenham and Nuno…
