Some Tottenham fans on social media have been reacting after it was reported that they won’t be appointing Nuno Espirito Santo as Jose Mourinho’s replacement.
Spurs are of course in need of a new manager after Mourinho’s departure, and as you can imagine, Nuno’s departure from Wolves has led to a lot of speculation about him taking over in north London.
However, many outlets are now reporting that Nuno isn’t in the running to replace Mourinho, and that has left a number of Tottenham supporters feeling relieved.
Spurs fans seemingly weren’t sold on the idea of Nuno becoming their next boss, but we can’t help but feel that they’re being a little harsh on the Wolves boss.
Nuno has proven himself season after season at Wolves, getting them out of the Championship with ease before leading them to back-to-back seventh-place finishes, ending last season level on points with Spurs.
Yes, this season Wolves haven’t been at their best, but their squad has been ravaged by injury with the likes of Raul Jimenez, Pedro Neto and Jonny Otto missing large periods of this season.
Nevertheless, for one reason or another, Spurs fans don’t want Nuno and they were pleased to see reports stating that he won’t be their new manager.
