Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Steven Bergwijn against Maccabi Haifa on Thursday evening.
Bergwijn was in action for Tottenham in their Europa League Qualifying Playoff tie against Maccabi at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The 22-year-old winger started the tie and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Jose Mourinho’s side won 7-2 to book their place in the group stage of the European competition.
Harry Kane was the star of the show for Spurs, as the England international striker scored a hat-trick.
Bergwijn did not score, but the Netherlands international played well, created chances, and played a big role in the North London club winning the game.
The Dutchman provided the assist for Lucas Moura’s goal in the first half and set up Kane for his third.
According to WhoScored, the 22-year-old took five shots of which three were on target, played five key passes, had a pass accuracy of 89.6%, took 72 touches, attempted six dribbles, made one tackle, and put in three crosses.
Some Tottenham fans were impressed with the display produced by Bergwijn and have raved about him on Twitter.
