‘Phenomenal’: Some Liverpool fans seriously impressed with Leeds duo’s performance

Liverpool fans on Twitter were seriously impressed with the performance Kalvin Phillips and Jack Harrison put in for Leeds yesterday.

Even though the Premier League season has only started, both Liverpool and Leeds have perhaps produced one of the games of the season already when they both played out a thrilling 4-3 encounter.

Jurgen Klopp’s side took the lead on every occasion, with Leeds continually hitting back, but in the end, it was Mo Salah’s late penalty which helped seal all three points for the Premier League champions.

Jack Harrison equalised for the away side [1-1] in the first half when Phillips’ magnificent ball over the top resulted in Harrison running at Trent Alexander-Arnold, cutting inside on his right-foo before slotting home from the edge of the area.

Liverpool fans on Twitter were seriously impressed with what they saw from Phillips and Harrison, who were a threat throughout the topsy-turvy game.

Phillips looked very comfortable on the ball in the middle of the park and was pinging brilliant balls in behind Liverpool’s defence.

As for Harrison, he gave Alexander-Arnold a hard time because his ability to press front the front, get on the front foot and then look to take the England man on was proving to be problematic for the right-back.
