Rio Ferdinand has said that Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has been “phenomenal” for the Gunners so far this season, but he believes that Manchester City strike Erling Haaland has been Player of the Year in the Premier League.
The former Manchester United defender has said on his YouTube channel that he would not begrudge if Arsenal and England international winger Saka was voted as the Premier League Player of the Season.
The pundit believes that the 21-year-old has been “phenomenal”, but his choice could be City and Norway international striker Haaland.
The 22-year-old striker has scored 28 goals and given five assists in 25 Premier League starts for City so far this season.
Saka has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 28 Premier League matches so far this campaign.

Ferdinand said: “Saka, I wouldn’t argue if he got it. I wouldn’t say he should haven’t got it. He has been phenomenal.
“If you lot win the league, if you win the league, then you will have a big shout of someone in your team to be the Player of the Year.”

In our view, Bukayo Saka is one of the best young players out there, and Arsenal are a better team with him it.
If Arsenal go on to win the Premier League title this season, then Saka will have to be in for the Player of the Year award.
The 21-year-old is remarkably consistently and delivers the goods in every single match.
