Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to reveal their adoration for one moment from Monday’s win over Arsenal, with Naby Keita under the spotlight.

Liverpool’s official Twitter account posted a video showcasing a flamboyant flick from Sadio Mane, which allowed Fabinho to latch on to the ball and charge towards goal.

However, seeing as the Brazilian is a defensive midfielder, this adventurous surge would naturally leave a gaping hole in front of the back four.

This is where Keita showed his footballing brain.

The former RB Leipzig man noticed it was Fabinho who was surging forwards, and after initially looking likely to join the attack, the Guinean resisted the temptation and slotted into his teammate’s defensive midfield position.

It was an impressive piece of awareness from Keita, who has struggled to get going under Jurgen Klopp since his £52.75 million move from RB Leipzig.

The 25-year-old has been involved in just 11 goals in 65 games since arriving at Anfield.

However, in his defence, he has suffered a number of different injuries.

Transfermarkt shows that Keita has struggled with groin issues and torn muscles since joining the Reds.

Despite that, Klopp clearly still trusts his No.8 to start in big games such as Monday’s affair, and Keita let nobody down as Liverpool earned the win.

Let’s see what the Liverpool fans are saying about his moment of tactical awareness against the Gunners…
