Even Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been left impressed by Arsenal stopper Emi Martinez after the North London Derby.
Arsenal may have been beaten 2-1 by Tottenham yesterday, but without Martinez in goal, Jose Mourinho’s side could even have won by a clearer margin.
Martinez pulled off some excellent stops throughout the contest, particularly from Harry Kane and Ben Davies.
And even Tottenham fans praised the Arsenal stopper for his display.
When Bernd Leno was ruled out with injury there were huge concerns about the impact that could have on Arsenal’s side.
However, Martinez has really stepped up in Leno’s absence, and he is yet to put a foot wrong since stepping into Mikel Arteta’s first-team.
The Arsenal stopper was powerless to stop Tottenham picking up the three points though, as goals from Son and Toby Alderweireld sealed the three points for the Lilywhites.
