Bryson DeChambeau has been part of LIV Golf since 2022, having made the move from the PGA Tour.

He has not just played well but has also become one of the most recognisable faces in golf, possibly even more so than anyone else at the moment.

But after Brooks Koepka decided to leave LIV Golf, there has been talk that DeChambeau might consider doing the same.

His contract with LIV runs until the end of the 2026 season. The two-time US Open winner said recently that he has not signed anything beyond that yet.

So what exactly does his future look like? Let us take a closer look at what we know so far.

Michael Kim doubts Bryson DeChambeau’s rumoured next move

Michael Kim is not shy about sharing his opinions online, and that openness has helped him build a strong following of over 220,000 on X.

He has carved out a niche for himself among fans thanks to his detailed and often candid posts about life on the PGA Tour.

This time, Kim weighed in on recent talk surrounding DeChambeau.

There are claims floating around that the 32-year-old might be considering a shift towards a full-time YouTube career, stepping away from regular competition to focus on content creation while still playing in the four majors.

But Kim is not convinced. He took to X to share why he does not see DeChambeau leaving the competitive side of golf behind entirely.

“I don’t know Bryson well but he is a golf competitive psycho (in a good way),” he wrote.

“YouTube has been great for him but I have a very hard time believing that just YouTube will fulfill that competitiveness. They both need each other and I would be shocked if they don’t get a deal done (LIV contract).“

Even though YouTube has become an important part of DeChambeau’s career, it likely would not fully satisfy his competitive edge. Golf still gives him something YouTube cannot match – at least not yet.

Why Michael Kim does not believe Bryson DeChambeau will leave pro golf

Kim’s confidence that DeChambeau would not give up professional golf for a full-time YouTube career comes down to one clear reason.

The 32-year-old feeds off competition, and taking that away could prove difficult for him to handle. It is what has driven his entire career so far.

Kim doubled down on that view, posting again on X to back up his thoughts.

“There’s a massive difference between the rush of being in contention to win a tournament and pulling it off vs trying to beat a YouTube golfer or trying to break 50,” he said.

“They’re not the same. You also can’t expect to be at your best showing up four times a year only playing the majors.”

No matter how much time he spends creating content, DeChambeau will likely continue playing professional golf for quite some time.

The bigger question is whether he stays with LIV Golf or considers a return to the PGA Tour in the future.
