Celtic suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

Stiliyan Petrov has told talkSPORT that he is confident Celtic will qualify for the knockout stages of the Europa League after their Champions League dreams were ended by Bayern Munich.
The German champions secured a narrow 2-1 victory over Brendan Rodgers’ men at Celtic Park on Tuesday night, thanks to goals from Kingsley Coman and Javi Martinez either side of Callum McGregor’s equaliser.
Celtic had chances to increase their tally throughout the match through the likes of Moussa Dembele, Stuart Armstrong and James Forrest but were unable to pull off a shock result against Jupp Heynckes’ side.

Former Celtic captain Petrov claimed Celtic can be very proud of their performance against one of Europe’s biggest footballing institutions, and believes the Hoops should now look forward to Europa League football.
“Celtic played very well, they gave Bayern Munich a very tough game,” Petrov said.
“They played with speed, they played with flair, which is something Brendan Rodgers has instilled in the players over the last two seasons, so a performance like that wasn’t surprise.
“I think they should be proud of their performance and they should look forward more to the next stage in the Europa League.”

Celtic currently sit third in Group B of the Champions League with three points, while Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have already qualified for the knockout stage.
The Hoops must finish third in the group to qualify for the last 32 of the Europa League.
The Bhoys participation hinges on their next Champions League outing against fourth-placed Anderlecht, with the Belgian champions currently on 0 points. If they suffer a loss, it will then come down to the final group game where Celtic face PSG and Anderlecht take on Bayern.
