Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that he has no interest in signing Tottenham Hotspur attacker Marcus Edwards next season.

Posh and Tottenham have a good relationship, with a lot of business being done between the two sides recently.

Peterborough have taken Nathan Oduwa and Luke McGee on loan from Spurs this term.

But MacAnthony has suggested that he would shy away from signing Edwards, even if the possibility was there.

Edwards is regarded as one of Tottenham’s top prospects, so there is no guarantee that Mauricio Pochettino would be willing to loan the youngster out.

Edwards has been training with Tottenham’s senior squad throughout the campaign, and was handed his first-team debut last year in the League Cup.

The 18-year-old has been in great form for Spurs’ development squad, where he has netted four goals and claimed two assists in eight league games.

Edwards could yet get another opportunity in Tottenham’s first-team before the end of the season, with Harry Kane currently out injured.
