West Bromwich Albion are said to be looking at Peterborough United midfielder Leonardo Da Silva Lopes.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has responded to a West Bromwich Albion fan who has asked him about Leonardo Da Silva Lopes.

The Baggies supporter had heard links that Tony Pulis was looking at singing Da Silva Lopes in the January transfer window.

And MacAnthony suggested that he feels as if the 18-year-old has the potential to go on to play in the Premier League, but has time on his side.

Da Silva Lopes has played an important role for Posh this season, despite his tender years.

The 18-year-old has made 30 appearances for the League One side in all competitions so far this term.

Da Silva Lopes is now regarded as one of the brightest, young talents in the Football League, and a number of top level sides have already been linked with the youngster.

Posh are currently in 10th place in the League One table, after losing 5-1 to Bury in their last match, with Da Silva Lopes being substituted off at half-time.
