According to The Telegraph, Everton’s academy director Peter Vint has suddenly left the club, with confusion surrounding the future of his son, Will.
The Toffees have been attempting to bring through academy talent in recent years, with Tyias Browning, Tom Davies and Kieran Dowell all looking to establish themselves at Goodison Park.
Everton have also been attempting to recruit young players from elsewhere in a bid to build for the future, with Matty Foulds, Bassala Sambou and Anton Donkor arriving in recent memory.
However, The Telegraph report that Everton’s academy director, Peter Vint, has now left the club in a sudden departure from Goodison Park.
Vint, had been in a role with the Team USA Olympic Committee before leaving for Everton in December 2015, and he has been overseeing the club’s youth operations ever since.
Now though, just days after Everton announced the appointment of new academy coach Dave Adams, formerly of Swansea City, Vint has suddenly left Merseyside to ‘pursue other projects’.

The timing is particularly fascinating, as the report states that Vint’s son Will has recently been on trial with Everton ahead of potentially winning a deal with the club.
Instead, the 15-year-old is now on the verge of joining Manchester United having also undergone a trial with the Red Devils, and whilst Everton allegedly claim that Vint’s departure is not linked to his son choosing United, the timing is certainly interesting.
