Leeds United are bang in form at the minute, and Peter Swan notices a link between what has happened at the very top in recent months.
Peter Swan has told LUTV that Leeds United’s turnaround in the board room is linked to their turnaround on the pitch.
Leeds remain top of the Championship on goal difference after beating Ipswich Town 3-2 on Saturday afternoon.
It was a big test for the Whites, who had suffered their first defeat of the season a week previous away to Millwall.
But Thomas Christiansen’s side passed it with flying colours and there is an increasing sense that United, under the Spaniard, are very much the real deal.
Owner Andrea Radrizzani took full control of the club in May, usurping the fiercely-unpopular Massimo Cellino at Elland Road, before bringing in Director of Football Victor Orta, who played a role in the appointment of Christiansen following Garry Monk’s decision to quit as manager.
And Swan believes that Leeds on-the-pitch form is only possible because of the changes at the very top.
Asked about how quickly things have turned around at Leeds, Swan, who spent nine years in West Yorkshire, told LUTV: “Well that’s the scary thing.
“You look at managers and sometimes you need that bit of luck and he’s getting that bit of luck.
“It’s all come from the top. The owners are in now and they’re in charge of it all. Everything is filtering through now to the field of play. “
