Speaking to the Premier League’s YouTube Channel, Peter Schmeichel has claimed that Curtis Jones has given Klopp a problem at Anfield.
Indeed, the Danish goalkeeper believes that the youngsters talent has made him almost impossible to drop, but with Klopp having so many quality midfield options, it’s hard for him to fit everyone into the team.
“He’s a very impressive young lad, he looks like, obviously I don’t know the guy, but he looks to have a very good mentality,” Schmeichel said.
“He works really hard, he creates chances, scores goals and he can switch the play at the right time. Tactically he’s very astute as well, he understands the game. He’s a dribbler as well, and we like dribblers don’t we?
“He has been fantastic and I really see a long and a strong future in this Liverpool team, and he’s given Klopp a problem hasn’t he? Because how can you not have him as one of the players that you’d play. I seem him as someone who could literally play in any team and give that team something.”

Jones has given Klopp a problem, but it’s not a bad problem to have is it?
You can never have enough quality players in the squad, and as Liverpool know all too well this season, depth is very important for a top side.
If only Liverpool had the same sort of depth at centre-half as they do in the midfield.
Jones is certainly a future star at Anfield, and we can only hope that Klopp strikes the right balance between using him and rotating his squad.
