Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel is excited for the club to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Zlatan is a free agent after four years at Paris Saint-Germain and is tipped by The Times to be United’s first signing under Jose Mourinho.

Schmeichel said: “This guy finds the goals, the little tricks and gives the crowd what they need at any given time. He was born to play for Manchester United.
“Now is the time to have someone like Cantona in the team and Zlatan definitely fits the bill. In the last five years he has only improved his fitness, his ability and his output.
“Look at his statistics. They are unbelievable. He’s not just done it in the French league. He has done it in Europe and for Sweden as well. If he comes to United, I would be very, very happy.”
Zlatan scored an incredible 50 goals in all competitions this past season in 52 games, and has won titles in Italy, Holland, Spain and France.
