Peter Reid massively disagrees with Farhad Moshiri over one issue at Everton

Everton are currently sat in 16th place in the Premier League table.

Peter Reid has told the Telegraph that he disagrees with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri about fan expectations at Goodison Park being too high.

Moshiri claimed that Everton supporters need to be patient, after their side’s poor start to the season.

However, Reid feels that Everton’s fan base actually have set their sights too low – and they should be wanting even better.

“The owner [Farhad Moshiri] comes out and says the fans’ expectations are too high,” Reid said. “No, you’re wrong mate. For me as an Everton fan we should have expectations higher than what we are seeing. So that is wrong from the top in my opinion.”

Everton went into the campaign with a hope to breaking into the top six, after a summer of big investment.

The Toffees lost Romelu Lukaku, but they spent big to bring in a host of players.

Unfortunately for Everton, their new additions do not seem to have settled quickly on Merseyside.

Everton have looked ponderous in possession and weak at the back throughout the campaign so far.

The Toffees are currently in 16th place in the Premier League table, with the pressure growing on Koeman.

Everton are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Brighton & Hove Albion.
