Newcastle maintained their good run of form with a 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town at home in the Championship.
Ayoze Perez scored twice for the Magpies at St. James’ Park, while Matt Ritchie added a third on 78 minutes.
Former Newcastle defender Ramage was following the match, and he was pleased with the final result.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Newcastle had 63% of the possession, took 16 shots of which five were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Ipswich had just 37% of the possession, took eight shots of which just two were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
Newcastle are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 31 points from 14 matches, three points clear of second-placed Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Magpies will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Preston North End at St. James’ Park in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
