Peter Ramage has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United and Crystal Palace’s results this weekend.

While Newcastle won their Championship game on Saturday afternoon, Palace lost their Premier League match.

The Magpies got the better of Bristol City 1-0 away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium.

Dwight Gayle’s goal in the 19th minute of the encounter proved to be the difference between the two teams.

Palace suffered a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League. Victor Wanyama’s goal eight minutes from full time settled the London derby.

Newcastle will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Cheltenham Town at St. James’ Park in the second round of the EFL Cup.

As for Palace, Alan Pardew’s side will face Blackpool at Selhurst Park in the second round of the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.

Newcastle are aiming to finish in the top two of the Championship this season, while Palace could struggle to make it into the top 10 of the Premier League.
