Former Rangers striker Peter Lovenkrands has fond memories of his time at Ibrox and is still highly regarded among supporters.

The former Danish international frequently acknowledges the club’s results via Twitter, and is accessible for fans to interact with.

Lovenkrands made himself available last night for a fan question and answer session, with a number of Rangers fans getting involved.

The retired forward still lives in Glasgow and will be commentating on Rangers TV for their upcoming friendly with Red Bull Leipzig.

Asked if he could re-live any of his goals for Rangers which one would he choose, Lovenkrands perhaps unsurprisingly picked his late winner from the 2002 Scottish Cup Final.

He added that he had no idea the goal would become so iconic, and would have celebrated more wildly if he had fully realised it’s impact.

Lovenkrands was then asked by a supporter who he felt the best striker currently at the club is, last season’s Scottish Championship top scorer Martyn Waghorn, or summer signing Joe Garner.

Neither player has put a proper run of form together this season, with Waghorn’s failure to kick on after last season particularly disappointing, but Lovenkrands clearly retains belief in the former Wigan striker.
