Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers won against St Johnstone, thanks to goals from Ibrox stars Carlos Pena and Graham Dorrans,

Rangers resumed Scottish Premiership action on Friday evening with a pretty comfortable victory over St Johnstone.

The Gers got the better of St. Johnstone 3-0 away from home at McDiarmid Park in Perth.

Carlos Pena scored twice for the Ibrox outfit, first in the 27th minute and then on 78 minutes.

Graham Dorrans, who joined Rangers in the summer transfer window, added the third in the 86th minute.

St Johnstone ended the match with 10 men due to the sending-off of Steven Anderson in the 71st minute.

Peter Lovenkrands was following the game, and the former Rangers star has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the final result.

Meanwhile, former Celtic striker Chris Sutton praised Rangers midfielder Dorrans for his performance against St Johnstone.

“Dorrans was outstanding, his range of passing,” Sutton told BT Sport 1 on Friday evening (9:45pm, October 13, 2017) during the post-match discussion.

“He smashed the bar with a terrific effort, wonderful finish. Dorrans was the man of the match.”

Rangers are third in the Scottish Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from nine matches.

The Gers will return to action next weekend when they take on Motherwell in the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup.
