Glasgow Rangers’ reserve side kept the momentum at Ibrox going with an impressive victory in their latest game.

Peter Lovenkrands has taken to Twitter to laud Rangers’ youngsters after they beat Morton’s first-team 2-1 on Thursday, with the Gers coach reserving particular praise for the goalscorers Cammy Palmer and Andy Dallas.
The Light Blues seem to be moving in the right direction at all levels right now. Steven Gerrard’s men went into the international break off the back of a 3-1 win at Ibrox that ended Hearts’ unbeaten start to the Scottish Premiership season – and the youngsters appear to be ensuring that the momentum remains during the break.
The youngsters have enjoyed a fantastic season so far and continued it by beating Morton’s first-team. Derek Anderson’s men are seventh in the Scottish Championship at the moment, so the Gers’ starlets can perhaps reflect on a win against the 19th best senior side in the country currently.
It was another notable performance for Dallas. The forward scored a hat-trick in the under-19s’ recent win over Hamburg and now boasts a remarkable tally of 10 goals in his last seven appearances.

Meanwhile, Palmer also scored in that victory against Hamburg. And he will be delighted to get onto the scoresheet again given that he has edged ever closer to the periphery of the first-team this season.
The pair will have certainly done their prospects of sending a message to Gerrard no harm at all. But in truth, it appears that the Rangers boss has no shortage of exciting young prospects to pick from right now.

Here is Lovenkrands’ reaction to Rangers’ win on social media…
