Kenny Miller has made 18 appearances for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers this season.
Glasgow Rangers striker Peter Lovenkrands has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he is not surprised to see Kenny Miller still performing at Ibrox.
Miller has made 18 appearances for Rangers already this campaign, despite reaching the age of 36.
And Lovenkrands, who played with Miller at Rangers earlier in their respective careers, has backed the Scotland international to continue to play a part in Mark Warburton’s side – even beyond this season.
“I am not surprised to see him still playing at the level he is because Kenny is a fit guy and he has proven that throughout his career,” Miller said.
“You see his energy levels on the pitch and I know how he is in training as well. He trains hard but he looks after himself.
“I know Kenny well and I am pleased to see him doing so well and getting his 100th goal for Rangers.
“I don’t see why he can’t keep going on beyond this season. If he keeps proving himself and keeps scoring then he will want to keep playing.”
Miller has hit the back of the net three times for Rangers in all competitions this season.
Rangers brought in both Joe Garner and Joe Dodoo to increase competition for places up-front, but neither of the new recruits have featured as much as Miller as yet.
Rangers have not yet found the potent goalscorer that they have needed to fire them up the Scottish Premiership table.
Rangers are currently in third place in Scotland’s top tier, after drawing their last match 1-1 with Ross County.
