Joe Garner has scored just three goals for Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers so far.

Peter Lovenkrands has told the Glasgow Evening Times that Glasgow Rangers summer signing Joe Garner will come good at Ibrox.

Garner joined Rangers from Preston North End last summer, and he was expected to be a prolific scorer in the Scottish Premiership.

However, the tireless striker has found things difficult since joining Rangers – and is yet to hit top form.

Garner has scored just three goals in his first 10 appearances for Rangers, but Lovenkrands believes that the 28-year-old can start hitting the back of the net with more regularity.

“Joe has got a couple now and the more he gets the more confidence he will have,” the former Rangers front man said. “He just needs to get going and once he gets going he knows he will gets chances to score.

“I think those three have enough goals between them and hopefully they all do well this season.”

Another Rangers forward who has struggled this season in Martyn Waghorn.

Waghorn was Rangers’ top scorer on their way to promotion last term, but he has not been as clinical in front of goal this time around.

However, Lovenkrands believes that with a little bit of patience Waghorn will come good for Mark Warburton’s side again.

“The goals are there. Martyn scored 28 last season and he could have had a lot more if he hadn’t picked up that bad injury,” Lovenkrands added.

“He has got eight this year and it has been hard for him to get back in. But he will score goals for Rangers this year.”

Rangers are currently in third place in the Scottish Premiership table, after a disappoint start to the new campaign.
