Celtic have recently brought former West Bromwich Albion technical director Nick Hammond to Celtic Park.

As announced on Celtic’s official website recently, the Glasgow giants have aded Hammond to their team.
It has been reported that the former Reading Director of Football will work with the Hoops during the summer initially over recruitment.
Former Celtic midfielder and club legend Grant worked with Hammond at Reading, and he has backed his appointment at the Hoops.
Grant told The Scottish Sun: “I worked with Nicky at Reading. He was the goalkeeper when I was there with Tommy Burns. Celtic have lost a few big players and they will need to have something up their sleeves to replace them.
“Recruitment has to be spot on and Nicky will help in that respect. He has a good reputation in England, he’s done a good job wherever he’s been and he is regarded as a very diligent worker.”

Big summer coming up
Celtic have the best team in Scotland for the past several years and have won the domestic treble for the last three seasons.
The Hoops, though, need to refresh their squad, and bring in younger and more dynamic players to sustain their success.
Rangers showed this past season that under manager Steven Gerrard, they can challenge Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title, and Neil Lennon’s side have to be mindful of that.
A central defender and a striker should be at the top of Celtic’s transfer list this summer.
