Liverpool had a goal ruled offside by VAR at the weekend.

This past weekend saw yet another spate of controversial VAR decisions.
One of the biggest talking points was Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino’s goal being ruled out against Aston Villa.
Firmino was judged to have narrowly been offside by the length of an arm.
Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch had his own amusing reaction to the incident.
He remarked on how his gangly frame would have put him at a big disadvantage in his career.
More than 80,000 Twitter users liked Crouch’s post, which highlighted how VAR has become a punchline.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was not so amused with the incident.
He raged via Metro: “When we talk about serious moments, very important moments in football, it’s not right to sit here and everyone wants to laugh about it,’ he said. ‘It is not to laugh about. It is too serious. Managers get sacked for losing football games.”
Klopp is right, VAR is a serious matter which is why it is so concerning the way it has become a laughing stock.
Fans pay a lot of money to attend matches and it is ruining the experience for pretty much everybody, spectators, players and managers.
