Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has praised Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min on social networking site Twitter.
The former Liverpool star, who joined Stoke from Tottenham in the summer of 2011 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million, was impressed with Son’s goal for Spurs against Juventus at the Wembley Stadium in London in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
The South Korea international, who can operate as a winger or as a forward, scored in the 39th minute of the encounter, which Mauricio Pochettino’s lost 2-1.
Crouch was following the match, and the Stoke striker was impressed with the 25-year-old and described the Tottenham star as “class” on Twitter.
Son, who joined Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £22 million, has established himself as a key figure for Spurs.
The South Korean has scored 10 goals in the Premier League and four in the Champions League this season.
Spurs fans will agree with Crouch about Son being a class player, and the 25-year-old is going to be a key player for the North London club between now and the end of the season.
