Peter Crouch has taken to Twitter to react after The Telegraph revealed that Mohamed Salah wants £400,000-a-week to stay at Liverpool.
What’s the story?
Well, it certainly seems as if Salah and his agent – Ramy Abbas Issa – know how important he is to Liverpool.
The 29-year-old is said to be demanding £400,000-a-week to stay at Anfield, which would see him double his current £200,000-a-week earnings.
It comes after Salah started the current campaign with ten goals in ten games, while also providing four assists.
After hearing the news, Crouch posted the following tweet.
At least the 40-year-old can see the funny side of Salah’s demands!
Some may struggle to, however, as that is an astronomical amount of money which could leave some to describe the Egyptian as greedy.
Does Mohamed Salah deserve £400,000-a-week at Liverpool?

At the moment, Salah is the best player on the planet, in our view.
He has timed his otherworldly run of form to perfection, as it gives him plenty of power in negotiations with the Reds.
It’s a significant amount of money, although in the context of modern day football, Salah has earned the right to be paid that sum.

The situation surely hasn’t been helped by the fact Manchester City pay Kevin De Bruyne £400,000-a-week, and Manchester United hand Cristiano Ronaldo £510,000-a-week.
With Salah outdoing the pair this season, he has every right to ask Liverpool to increase his salary to De Bruyne’s wages.
If Fenway Sports Group (FSG) mess this up and lose the 29-year-old, Liverpool fans may never forgive them.
