Stoke City striker Peter Crouch backs Tottenham Hotspur to end up in the top four of the Premier League this season.
Tottenham are sixth in the league table at the moment with nine points from five matches, three points behind fourth-placed Watford.
Spurs have lost their last three matches in all competitions, and there are now question marks on whether the North London outfit will be able to repeat their heroics of the past few seasons this campaign.
Former Tottenham striker Crouch, now at Championship club Stoke, has backed Mauricio Pochettino’s side to finish in the Champions League places yet again.
The English striker has also suggested Spurs to make signings in the January transfer window, and he has admitted that he is slightly concerned about his former club.
Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail about Tottenham: “Nothing is going to change my view that they will finish in the top four again.
“I am, though, slightly concerned about them at present and I’d be really worried if Kane, Dele Alli or Christian Eriksen ended up with a long-term injury.
“It certainly wouldn’t do them any harm if Mauricio Pochettino happened to buy someone in January.
“Contrary to what you might think, players love it when new faces arrive as it provides competition and gives everyone a lift. Pochettino, of course, will know that better than anyone.”
No panic
Tottenham did not sign a single player in the summer transfer window, and there are suggestions that star striker Harry Kane is tired.
However, Spurs should not panic, as the season has only just started, and there are enough good players in the team to get them out of their current situation.
