Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White seems to be rated highly by Stoke City striker Peter Crouch.
Crouch played against Gibbs-White during a pre-season friendly match between Championship side Stoke and Premier League club Wolves.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool striker has spoken highly of the 18-year-old midfielder.
Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail about Gibbs-White: “I have been talking him up to anyone who will listen to me since Stoke played Wolves in a pre-season friendly and I am not going to stop.
“This young boy plays and passes with the composure of a veteran. He’s going places fast.”
Promising talent
Gibbs-White is a hugely talented and promising young player, and the 18-year-old has been playing well for Wolves in recent times.
The England Under-19 international has made one start and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Wanderers so far this season, providing one assist in the process, according to WhoScored.
During the 2017-18 campaign, the 18-year-old midfielder played 241 minutes of Championship football for Wolves, according to WhoScored.
Competition for places in the Wolves midfield is fierce, and it will take a while – maybe a year or two – for Gibbs-White to establish himself in the Wanderers’ starting lineup.
What the teenager needs to do now is keep working hard in training and make the most of the chances he gets from manager Nuno this season.
