Crouch featured for Stoke in a pre-season friendly match against Premier League club Wolves and was impressed with the performance of the 18-year-old midfielder.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker wrote in The Daily Mail: “We played Wolves in a pre-season game and I was very impressed by the ability of this midfielder on the ball.

“He was part of the England Under 17 squad who won the World Cup last October. Keep an eye on him. He is another promising young English talent.”

Promising talent

Gibbs-White is a hugely talented and promising young midfielder who has a bright future ahead of him.

The former England Under-17 international played a total of 241 minutes of Championship football for Wolves last season, according to WhoScored.

Gibbs-White featured for Wolves in their Premier League game against Everton at home this past weekend.

The 18-year-old midfielder did not start the match on Saturday evening, but the talented and promising teenager came on as a substitute in the 85th minute.

It was the English youngster’s debut for Wolves in the Premier League, and he gave a good account of himself.

Gibbs-White could well get more playing time for Nuno’s Wolves as the season progresses.
