Celtic boss Neil Lennon led his side to victory yesterday, but they were far from convincing.

Peter Crouch, Paul Ince and Chris Sutton have all agreed that Celtic are a Europa League level side right now.

Celtic were knocked out of the Champions League by Cluj in midweek in what was a shock result.

The Bhoys just could not cope with the Romanian side, with Neil Lennon’s side failing to convince throughout the match.

And when asked whether Celtic are now in the competition where they belong, Crouch, Ince and Sutton all simply said ‘yes’.

It is a damning indictment of the regression that has happened at Celtic since Brendan Rodgers’ departure already.

Celtic have much to work on and clearly need to make additions before the end of the transfer window if they are to live up to expectations.

The Bhoys didn’t exactly bounce back from their Champions League defeat well, as they only narrowly got past Dunfermline yesterday in the cup.

Lennon’s side required extra-time to avoid an upset, and frustrations are rapidly rising at Celtic about the standard of their performances.
