Birmingham City and Portsmouth are among the candidates to sign the Stoke City striker.
Stoke City’s Peter Crouch on the substitutes’ bench
Bookmakers SkyBet are offering odds on Peter Crouch’s next club.
The Stoke City striker signed a one-year contract extension in January, which should keep him at the Bet365 Stadium until this time in 2018.
But after starting just one of the Potters’ last nine Premier League fixtures, the bookies believe there’s a chance of an earlier exit for the big man.
And a drop down a division – or two – is favoured if Crouch is to leave Stoke this summer, with an old boss and an old club among the candidates to sign him before 3 September.
Harry Redknapp’s Birmingham City are listed as 4/1 favourites to capture the 36-year-old, with Portsmouth next with odds of 8/1.
Birmingham boss Harry Redknapp celebrates the club’s Championship survival
Redknapp, who managed Crouch at Portsmouth (twice), Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur, kept Birmingham afloat with two wins out of three in charge at St Andrew’s – although it is unclear if the veteran boss will remain with the Blues next season, which could affect their chances of luring the player away from Stoke.
Portsmouth also had reason to celebrate this weekend, clinching the League Two title with a 6-1 win against Cheltenham Town.

Whether Crouch would be willing to drop two divisions to return to Fratton Park however remains to be seen.
