Stoke City striker Peter Crouch played for Liverpool from 2005 until 2008.

Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has hit back at a Liverpool fan on social networking site Twitter for teasing him about Lionel Messi’s new Champions League record for Barcelona.
Barcelona forward Messi has scored a total of 100 goals in Europe’s premier club competition.
The Argentina international reached the landmark on Wednesday evening when he scored twice in Barca’s 3-0 victory over Chelsea at Camp Nou in the second leg of the last-16 tie.

The result means that Barcelona have progressed to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Crouch is a veteran of the Premier League, but the England international striker has not been very prolific.
The 37-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers striker was on the books of Liverpool from 2005 until 2008.
The Englishman failed to make an impact at Anfield and returned to his former club Portsmouth in 2008.
Crouch went back to Tottenham in 2009 and has been on the books of Stoke since 2011.
