Burnley striker Peter Crouch has revealed in The Daily Mail that he has heard that Wolverhampton Wanderers will spend big in the summer transfer window.

Wolves have spent big in recent years, as the Wanderers won automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of last season and could finish seventh in the Premier League this campaign.

Former Tottenham and Liverpool striker Crouch has disclosed that Wolves are going to spend big money again this summer.

The 38-year-old Burnley striker also believes that Wolves winning teams such as Arsenal with ease will become normal.

Nuno’s side got the better of Arsenal 3-1 at the Molineux Stadium in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail about Wolves in The Daily Mail: “From what I hear, they are going to spend big again this summer and really consolidate the work they have done.

“If their purchases prove to be as good as the ones they have made so far, then Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad will continue to be a threat.

“I watched them blitz Arsenal on Wednesday and I can see results like that becoming the norm. I knew last summer they were a team going places and they can be rightly satisfied with their season.”

Progress

Wolves are a hugely ambitious club, and it will not come as a surprise to anyone if the Wanderers do spend big in the summer transfer window.

After all, the Wanderers have shown that they can spend money shrewdly, and it is very much possibly for them to break into the top six of the Premier League next season, especially with Nuno in charge.
