Burnley striker Peter Crouch played for both Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
The former Tottenham striker believes that it will be wrong to dismiss Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s chances of clinching the championship.
Spurs are third in the league table at the moment with 57 points from 25 matches, five points behind Manchester City and Liverpool, who are first and second respectively in the standings.
Crouch has also admitted that he got one prediction about Liverpool wrong this season.
The former Liverpool striker has admitted that he thought that Jurgen Klopp’s side will trouble City at the Etihad Stadium.
On January 3, 2018, City got the better of Liverpool 2-1 at home, with Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane scoring for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Back in October 2018, Liverpool and City played out a goalless draw at Anfield in the league.
As for Burnley, Sean Dyche’s side are just two points above the Premier League relegation zone at the moment.
Crouch wrote in The Daily Mail: “It is also madness to rule out Tottenham, who are right in there as well. I know bookmakers have them as third favourites but, for the points they have racked up, you simply cannot take them out of the discussion.
“There was a point in the season when I thought Manchester City would go unbeaten and said so here at the start of November — the only match then I thought would give them trouble was Liverpool at home — but that prediction was wrong.”
